Niantic has officially announced that they will be adding a new online and realtime PVP battle feature to Pokemon GO next year.
The new online head-to-head feature coming to Pokemon GO will be called “Go Battle League” and it will allow players to search and find an opponent anywhere around the world through the online matching system.
While Pokemon GO is now offering a PvP system, it has some limitations when finding an opponent in the game. Currently, the feature only allows players to fight each other when they are listed as Ultra and Best Friends in the game or players around their surroundings (local).
