Niantic Soon to Add Reality Blending in Pokemon GO

Pokemon GO developer has announced that they will be soon adding the Reality Blending feature in the game.

Knowing that Pokemon GO is one of the first game to use the AR technology, Niantic seems not to be stopping developing new features for the game. A new feature called Reality Blending will be available in Pokemon GO in the next few weeks which will surely improve the Pokemon GO experience.

So, what’s with the Reality Blending? According to Niantic’s official post, the feature will allow Pokemon to blend with the objects around your surroundings. For example, if you’re spotting a Pokemon with AR mode activated and you move the camera, there’s a chance that this Pokemon will be covered by an object.

Reality Blending

It’s not the only feature of the Reality Blending in Pokemon GO as some Pokemon may also peek from behind a bookcase, jump out from behind the couch, and more.

There is still no official release date for the new feature but Niantic confirmed that they will be rolling out for testing to a small number of random Pokemon GO trainers using Android devices. The beta testing will start with Samsung S9 and S10 and Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 4. If you’re using one of these devices, let us know if you got the new feature.
