What happened in Chapter 1013?
One Piece Chapter 1013 features the continuation of the fight between the Samurai-Pirate alliance against Kaido and his subordinates. The new manga chapter highlights Nami as he fights Ulti. Being a Zoan Devil Fruit user, Ulti has an advantage but Nami was fortunate enough as Big Mom intervened and finished Ulti.
Right after Ulti’s defeat, Nami and Ussop tried to escape, along with Tama. As they are running for their lives, Zeus appeared where he saw Hera, the newest Homie. Due to what he did, Nami ignored Zeus. Knowing that he failed to help Big Mom, Zeus was hesitant to approach Big Mom, but he did anyway. Unfortunately, Big Mom told Zeus that she no longer needs him and decided to feed his soul to Hera.
At the same time, Big Mom snatched Tama and attacked the two members of the Straw Hat Pirates. Knowing that Big Mom already rejected him, Zeus tried to help Nami but his soul is being pulled out by the Yonko. While Zeus already tried to kill Nami before, Nami still tried to help Zeus but she failed as Zeus has been eaten by Hera.
Meanwhile, Tama returned to Nami and Ussop and tried to escape. Big Mom sees Tama deserting her which makes her angry. As a result, Big Mom attacked them but fortunately, Kid saved Tama and the Straw Hats.
As the chapter comes to its end, the manga shifts back to the fight between Kaido and Luffy. The cliffhanger of Chapter 1013 sees Luffy falling from the flying Onigashima, suggesting that he failed to defeat Kaido.
