Rent-a-Girlfriend Plot
The story surrounds a college student Kazuya Kinoshita and Chizuru Mizuhara. After Kazuya’s girlfriend dumped him, he used a mobile app to rent a girlfriend. There, he meets Chizuru who seems to be the perfect girl. After their first date, Kazuya checked her profile to see the reviews. Kazuya believes that Chizuru is just playing around the hearts of men and give her negative feedback.
The two went on a second date and Chizuru reveals her true nature which is a complete opposite of Kazuya’s first impression. At that very moment, Kazuya received a call from the hospital telling him that her grandmother collapsed. Since their rental time is not over, Kazuya was forced to bring Chizuru with him. Kazuya introduced Chizuru to his family as his girlfriend. Coincidentally, Chizuru’s grandfather was also in that hospital and they were caught off guard telling their grandparents that they are in a relationship. Unable to tell the truth to their grandparents, Kazuya and Chizuru are forced to enter a fake relationship.
