Resident Evil 4 – The Mercenaries DLC Guide and Tips

Guess what? You can now get Resident Evil 4 The Mercenaries DLC mode for free! It’s like a game inside a game where you have to beat up bad guys and score points. But be careful, you have to do it before time runs out, or you’ll lose.

At the start, you can only play as Leon S. Kennedy. But if you do really well and get four stars, you can unlock other cool characters like Ada, Hunk, Krauser, and Wesker. There are four different places you can play in: The Village, the Castle, the Island, and the Water Island. But don’t get confused, there are two Islands, and we’re calling the one that looks like Water World ‘Water Island’ in our guide!

How to Play RE4 The Mercenaries

Okay, when you play Resident Evil 4 The Mercenaries, you get two minutes to defeat as many bad guys as you can. But here’s the cool part: you can find things that give you more time, like stars on the map. They can add up to 90 extra seconds! And guess what? There are red chests that have bonus time inside. When you open one, you get 30 seconds to defeat as many bad guys as possible, and every bad guy you beat gives you 1000 points!

Now, every time you beat a bad guy, you get 300 points. If you keep beating them one after the other, you’ll get even more points because of something called a multiplier. And if you manage to defeat a boss, you’ll get a big 1000 points!

Here’s the best part: if you finish a Mercenaries stage without getting defeated, you’ll get a rank from 1 to 5 stars. So, keep going and aim for those 5 stars!

  • 1 Star – Min. Points 1, Max Points 9,999
  • 2 Stars – Min. Points 10,000, Max Points 19,999
  • 3 Stars – Min. Points 20,000, Max Points 29,999
  • 4 Stars – Min. Points 30,000, Max Points 59,999
  • 5 Stars – Min. Points 60,000, Max Points 99,999

To unlock the Handcannon in Resident Evil 4 The Mercenaries, you need to get a five-star ranking on every level with every character.
