Sky Children of the Light – Season of Revival Guide

A (not so) complete guide on the Season of Revival! Will be updated as the Season progresses.

What is a Season?

Seasons in Sky are limited-time events that bring fresh content such as new Spirits, Locations to explore, cosmetics, calls, expressions, quests, and more to the game! Seasons generally last around nine to eleven weeks, meaning that through the duration of a year, we usually have Four new Seasons to enjoy!

All players can enjoy a Season for absolutely free, but there is a paid “Season Pass” option that is needed to access more cosmetics during a season, upgraded emotes with unique effects (if the season has emotes), and the Ultimate Rewards.

Note* The Shop is currently disabled in the demo version of Sky on Steam. More info below!

Season Pass Benefits

Note* The Shop is currently disabled in the demo version of Sky on Steam. You can purchase the Season Pass on Android, iOS, Switch, or Playstation and still enjoy it on Steam after purchase. I would personally hold off on buying the Season Pass unless you have access to Sky on another device as the demo could end at any time, leaving the season incomplete.

With a Season Pass, you are able to unlock more cosmetics and limited content within a season. There are 2 Season Pass options to purchase, one for yourself for $9.99 USD, or a bundle of 3 for $19.99 USD, which contains one pass for yourself and two Giftable Passes for friends.

Giftable Passes cannot be used on yourself and they do not expire at the end of a season, instead, they will transfer to the next one! Please note that you must be friends with a player for 72 hours before you can gift a pass.

Upon purchase or receival of a Giftable Pass players are immediately granted:

  • 30 Seasonal Candles to start the season
  • A Pendant with the current Seasons logo to wear

Season Pass owners will also have access to an extra Season Candle in Homespace every day after reset, and be able to unlock limited Seasonal Rewards as well as the Ultimate Rewards!

What are Ultimate Rewards?

While all standard Seasonal Items are expected to come back through a Traveling Spirit system in the future, Ultimate Rewards are unique rewards that can only be obtained during an active season with the purchase of a season pass and the effort of collecting and completing the entire season. Ultimate Rewards are expected to never return, so they tend to become highly sought after and admired items. Ultimate Rewards can only be purchased with Seasonal Hearts.

Seasonal Currencies

There are two Seasonal Currencies to find during a Season. At the end of a season, unspent Season Currency will convert to regular currency. Seasonal Candles to Regular Candles, Seasonal Hearts to Regular Hearts.

Seasonal Candles

Seasonal Candles are similar to regular white candles you can find in Sky. They are used to unlock emotes, cosmetics, music sheets, and props from the Seasonal Spirits.
F2P players can expect to find 5 Seasonal Candles daily, and Season Pass owners can find 6.

4 Season Candles can be found by accepting and turning in the quests given by the statue in the center of Home Space. If you’re struggling to find and complete these quests I make guides on the quests daily here!

1 Season Candle can be obtained by finding 4 candle bundles within the days quest realm. On occasion, we have Double Seasonal Light events where you can find 8 total candle bundles. Forging these would give 2 total Season Candles. I also put the locations of these candle bundles in my Daily Quest videos!

1 Season Candle can be found by Season Pass holders at the Statue in Home Space every day after reset.

Seasonal Hearts

Seasonal Hearts are a currency only obtainable by Season Pass holders. These can be found at the very top of the Seasonal Spirits Constellations, and so they require a lot of work to unlock. Every item beforehand must be purchased with Seasonal Candles.

Seasonal hearts are used to unlock the Ultimate Rewards from the Season Guide.

Season of Revival

The Season of Revival is the 19th Season to come to Sky, and it is the first Season featuring a brand new realm to visit.

This is a Season built for newer players to enjoy, with a nod to the nostalgia veteran players have for the older seasons of Sky, we are revitalizing a forgotten part of the kingdom known as the Aviary Village.

Completing Seasonal Quests will rebuild this long-forgotten Village and along the way we will meet Guides from past seasons of Sky. New cosmetics will be available to players with additional ones for Season Pass holders.

Users who have at least completed the Hidden Forest level of Sky will find a massive realm portal appearing from the waters of Home Space. Entering this portal will bring us to a vast new world, the Aviary Village. Upon exploring this area players will find abandoned and ruined shops, a broken map shrine, and the ruins of what looks to be a slab similar to Home Space with matching realm portals. Not much else can be visited or entered here without completing the first Seasonal Quest from the Hopeful Steward.

Season Guides

The Hopeful Steward is our Season Guide for the Season of Revival. Every week, a new quest will be available that will slowly transform the Aviary Village into a bustling community centre. Quests must be done in order. You can trade Seasonal Hearts to the Guide for Ultimate Rewards if you’ve purchased a Season Pass. They also occasionally carry additional rewards purchased with regular candles or hearts after completing quests.

Quest 1

After accepting the first quest from the Hopeful Steward, we are directed down the main pathway of the Village. Here we will find a statue to burn. Burning the statue will reveal the Rhythm Guide from a past season: The Season of Rhythm, and they will motion for you to follow them into the shop behind. This long-neglected shop has grown dark plants, and it’s your job to tidy it up!

After burning the darkness we see a small cutscene of the Rhythm Guide fixing a salon chair. Sitting down on the chair will complete the quest! Be sure to leave the shop and turn in the quest to the Hopeful Steward to open up the Salon for business and get access to the Seasonal Shop!

Aviary Village Shops

As of now there are only 2 shops open in the village, both can be visited after completing the first Seasonal Quest.

Seasonal Shop

Available after completing Quest #1

A shop filled with mannequins. From here you can purchase Seasonal Cosmetics and take a look at the Ultimate Rewards. F2P and Season Pass players can both find fun cosmetics to wear!

Hair Salon

Available after completing Quest #1

A shop owned by the Rhythm Guide, sit down in their special chair to try on and wear different hairstyles. You can wear available hairstyles that you don’t own while staying in the shop.

Seasonal Spirits

Seasonal spirits can take many forms, and while usually these spirits look like typical spirits you’d find in the game, for this season they take the form of mannequins in the Seasonal Shop. From these mannequins, we can buy the new Seasonal Items!

Items with the Revival Logo next to them are Season Pass exclusives, this means that F2P players will not be able to collect them. However, items from these mannequins will eventually return as Traveling Spirits far in the future. This may take years for them to return, and they will likely cost much more using regular candles, hearts, and ascended candles. For more on Traveling Spirits check the Wiki here!

All players will have to collect Season Candles to unlock the basic rewards from spirits. Season Pass holders can immediately unlock the connected item for free after first purchasing the basic reward. At the very top of each mannequin is a Seasonal Heart, this is a Season Pass exclusive currency and it’s used to unlock Ultimate Rewards later on. All basic rewards must be unlocked from a mannequin to get to this heart.
