Tips to Play

You might find the game difficult, especially if you’re in the last few hours. But rest assured, it’s not that absurd. Here are some tips for you to have a better gameplay:

1) Don’t panic if a device fails!

When a device breaks down and you need to fix it, it usually takes a considerable amount of time to fix it. Before you go, check to see if you have any other devices with low power. Go to him, recharge and then go fix the error on the notebook.

2) Don’t get flustered when Sophia shows up!

It is very common for the player to turn the corner of the stairs and quickly click to go to the end of the corridor, or go down the stairs and quickly go to the notebook, or anything else related. DON’T DO THAT!

Sophia is very random. It can appear at any time. Whenever you walk somewhere or recharge your device, wait at least 2-3 seconds before clicking to do that. It is very common for it to appear when you are going to execute the action, and as everyone already knows, if you happen to click on it in these situations, it will not be a pleasant situation… One place she loves to show up is in front of her laptop, so whenever I fix a device, I go out the side and not the front.

If she happens to show up, don’t panic either. She’s not so impatient to get to the point where she appears and you immediately click away from her. It gives you time to react and then click to escape. But obviously, don’t delay and be quick. You’re also relying on a bit of luck when you’re running away from her and running into another room, as she might just want to scare you when you stop.

3) Pay attention to the sounds!

There are two sounds you need to pay attention to when playing: Sophia’s groan and the power outage “alert”.

  • Sophia’s groan;Whenever you recharge a device, pay attention to whether Sophia makes any moans. If she does, stop immediately, and then you can recharge again. If you continue past the moan, she will scare you.
  • Power outage “alert”.If you play for a while, you’ll be able to notice that there are always a few seconds left for the energy to run out, you can hear a characteristic sound. Characteristic because it is the same sound that always makes a few seconds before the power failure. So whenever you hear this sound, run to your safe point.

4) Safe points;

I warn you here that this is a tip that may fail, as it is based on a possibility.

I’ve never seen a secure point on the notebook that is at B (on the side of the stairs) or at C (at the bathroom door). I can’t confirm that the safe point is the A or the D, but with me it’s always been one of the two. That is, based on the fact that it is one of these two and there is no time to check which one it is, analyze which was the last one and, if possible, the penultimate one. Most of the time I had to depend on this choice, the safe point was the same as the previous one, but obviously that depends on the “history” of what the previous points were in this period. So if you’re going to choose one of them without looking at your notebook, choose wisely.

5) Energy discharge time;

No need to go in a hurry when the power of some device goes down “1%”. Wait a little longer, make your risky trip there worth it. So you also recharge the others.

6) Hours.

When there are only a few minutes left (at game time) to advance the checkpoint, don’t despair to recharge the energy if it’s full. For example: you’re at your safe point, there are 7 minutes left until the next checkpoint and all the devices are pretty full, you don’t have to bother recharging them if the power goes down. It gives enough time to turn the clock without moving, plus when the checkpoint is triggered, the energy bars automatically fill to full.

Remembering that this only works if you are at the end of some hours for the next checkpoint, that is, at the end of these hours: 7:00 PM, 9:00 PM, 11:00 PM, 1:00 AM, 3:00 AM, 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM.

Don’t forget that the game doesn’t end at 6:00 AM. At this time you get one last checkpoint to survive until 7:00 AM.

I’m sure that if you follow these tips, you’ll find that the game isn’t as difficult as it seems. I also expected Nightmare mode to be a lot harder than it actually is. Just pay attention and you’ll get it.
