Aliens: Fireteam Elite – How to Enable HDR
Just like any other PC video game, the developer of Aliens: Fireteam Elite is also allowing players to modify the game files. One of the modifications that can be done in the game is enabling the high dynamic range display, also known as HDR. How to Enable HDR in Aliens: Fireteam Elite
- To enable HDR, you need to go to the configuration directory of Aliens: Fireteam Elite. By default, the configuration file can be found here:
C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\Endeavor\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
- Find and open the file named
Engine.ini
using any text editor. - Copy and paste the following codes:
[SystemSettings] r.AllowHDR=1 r.HDR.EnableHDROutput=1 r.HDR.Display.OutputDevice=5 r.HDR.Display.ColorGamut=2 r.HDR.UI.CompositeMode=1 r.HDR.UI.Level=0.5
- Save changes and re-launch the game.
Be reminded that this method will not work if you’re playing Aliens: Fireteam Elite in Borderless or Windowed mode. Also, please take note that the <Username>
tag corresponds to the profile name that you used when you set up your Windows OS.
