Finally, Boruto Chapter 28 is out and in this chapter, we learned that Koji Kashin is one of the Hidden Leaf’s ninja. However, it seems like Koji is about to bring some troubles in the Hidden Leaf Village as he already entered the village to continue his search for Kawaki.

In the previous chapter, we also see how Kawaki apologizes to Boruto but for an unexpected happening, Koji has entered the village. With the first appearance of Koji in the previous chapter, Chapter 29 is going to be a start of an action in the Hidden Leaf Village.
Who is Koji Kashin?
While we still don’t have any clue who really is this shinobi, theories about Koji’s identity surfaced the internet.
In the previous chapter, we learned that Koji knows how to use Rasengan which was invented by the Fourth Hokage, Minato, which was also learned by Jiraiya. Apart from the two dead shinobi, only a few living shinobi know how to use this technique. Apart from Rasengan, we also learned that Koji can summon toads which is the signature summon of Jiraiya.
Now, rumors have started that Koji is Jiraiya, but I disagree on this theory. Instead, Koji could be one of the students of Jiraiya that was not mentioned during the Naruto Shippuden series. Looking at Koji’s talent, it perfectly shows that he’s associated with Jiraiya and not Jiraiya himself. Or could be a teammate or someone connected with Minato.

Looking at the current appearance of Koji, I can say that his age matches with some student of Jiraiya or a shinobi with the same age as Minato. Since we still don’t have enough information about Koji at this moment, all I can think of Koji’s real identity is Mizuki.
If we look back in time, Mizuki is almost the same age as Iruka, and now Iruka is old that matches the appearance of Koji. Since Mizuki has an intention to kill Iruka and Naruto back then, this could be one of the reasons why he joined Kara and changed his name to Koji.
Boruto Chapter 29 Release Date
We will surely learn more about Koji Kashin in the next chapter. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 29 is set to release on November 26, 2018. Yep, we have to wait for more than a month to get the next chapter.
