How to fix your brightness
If you’re struggling with making the game brighter and Brightness/Contrast sliders make things worse, here’s the solution:
Use the Gamma slider in the Video options, but lower its value instead of raising it. In most games, increasing / raising the gamma slider value will make the game brighter, but in this game it’s the other way around for whatever reason (probably a mistake in the code somewhere).
Examples:
Gamma 1.0 (default):
Gamma 0.4 (lowered):
If you increase gamma to 2.0 (maximum), you’ll be staring at a basically black screen.
