Kit’s Quest Achievements Walkthrough Guide

This guide features hints and walkthroughs for unlocking all of Kit’s Quest’s achievements!

It can be most rewarding to go achievement-hunting with as little assistance as possible, for example by revealing just one hint at a time. But, nothing wrong with using the guide as much as you’d like when you’re feeling stuck, especially as many of Kit’s Quest’s achievements are for particularly challenging or obscure feats!

No Survivors Achievements

These achievements are earned by destroying all enemies in certain areas.

No Survivors: Abandoned Mine
Destroy all enemies in the Abandoned Mine.

No Survivors: Great Oak Aerie
Destroy all enemies outdoors in Great Oak Aerie.

Hint 1: There are 3 spiders to destroy, all hanging onto trees. One is on the Fungal Tree, another is on a neighbouring tree, and the third is between the “A” and “B” gondolas.

Hint 2: The first two spiders can be destroyed either by dropping down from the Fungal Tree and hitting them with slams, or by using the Sticky Spore Mushroom found on the Elevator Tree’s fourth floor. However, the remaining spider is tougher.

Hint 3: Destroying the spider between the “A” and “B” gondolas requires multiple ability mushrooms.

Hint 4: To destroy the spider between the “A” and “B” gondolas, make sure the “B” gondola’s parked next to the Stump on a Stump teleporter. Then, visit the Ice Mushroom near the Golden Tree’s stump teleporter, teleport to the Stump on a Stump, place an Ice Block on the “B” gondola, and visit the nearby Zip Mushroom. Ride the “B” gondola to its other station, and use the Ice Block and nearby platform to get on top of the gondola station. Finally, Zip and somersault over to the spider, and hit it with a slam.

No Survivors: Generator Room
Destroy all enemies in the Generator Room.

Hint 1: There are 4 enemies to destroy, which includes the two small enemies on high-up platforms which provide shields for the larger two.

Hint 2: You can reach each of the two small enemies from the top of the Generator Room’s final elevator with well-executed Zips and somersaults.

It’s a Sign Achievements

These achievements are earned by reading signs hidden throughout Kit’s Quest.

It’s a Sign: Greenwood
Find a hidden sign to read somewhere in Greenwood.

Hint 1: The sign is near Great Oak Aerie’s entrance.

Hint 2: The sign is on the treehouse roof just above Great Oak Aerie’s entrance.

Hint 3: You’ll need to use multiple ability mushrooms.

Hint 4: Grab the upper Super Jump Mushroom in that area, drop down to the lower Super Jump Mushroom, and then Super Jump back up to the upper one. With both Super Jumps now in hand, use one to get up to the treehouse, and the second to get up onto the roof.

It’s a Sign: Dregnor’s Domain
Find a hidden sign to read somewhere in Dregnor’s Domain.

Hint 1: The sign is on a high-up part of Dregnor’s castle.

Hint 2: The sign is atop a tower, across the high-up bridge on the right (when looking towards the castle from the front).

Hint 3: You’ll need to use multiple ability mushrooms.

Hint 4: The foot of Skyreach Mountain has what you need.

Hint 5: At the foot of Skyreach Mountain, grab both of the Super Jump Mushrooms, run over to the stump teleporter by the lake in Greenwood, and teleport to Dregnor’s Domain. Use both Super Jumps right away to reach a balcony running along the castle walls. Finally, make your way to the right and across the bridge.

It’s a Sign: ka-QUACK!
Find a hidden sign to ka-QUACK read… somewhere.

Hint 1: The sign is underwater in the Hatchery’s pool.

Hint 2: Grab the Metal Mushroom in Greenwood (near the lake which had the first Dragon Tooth), teleport to Skyreach Summit, and sink to the bottom of the Hatchery’s pool.

Sly Fox Achievements

These achievements are earned by accomplishing objectives in “alternative” ways. Each becomes unobtainable on a save file under certain conditions, which means you may need to start a new game to unlock them.

Sly Fox: Who Needs Climbing?
Reach the topmost Golden Mushroom in Luminous Caverns without knowing how to climb.

Hint 1: You’ll need to use multiple ability mushrooms.

Hint 2: The Crystalline Grotto has what you need.

Hint 3: Ascend to the topmost Super Jump Mushroom in the Crystalline Grotto, and then quickly drop down to the middle Super Jump Mushroom followed by the bottommost one. With all 3 Super Jumps in hand, exit the Grotto, and use them to get up to the Golden Mushroom’s alcove, making sure to wait until the peak of each jump to maximize your height.

Sly Fox: Another Way In
Enter Great Oak Aerie without breaking its barrier in Greenwood.

Hint 1: Great Oak Aerie’s Waterlogged Tree is connected to Flooded Ruins, via a bridge at the back of the Shrine to the Water Serpent (though the bridge isn’t initially accessible from the shrine’s interior).

Hint 2: In the Shrine to the Water Serpent, grab the topmost Hydrophobic Mushroom, and quickly make your way up and across to the shrine’s top front exit. Once outside, bounce around the shrine until you reach the bridge at the back.

Sly Fox: Up And Over
Get past Skyreach Summit’s electric barrier without learning how to use Zip Mushrooms.

Hint 1: You’ll need to use either one or two ability mushrooms.

Hint 2: You’ll need to Super Jump up to the top of the stone gate.

Hint 3: The foot of Skyreach Mountain has what you need.

Hint 4: At the foot of Skyreach Mountain, grab either one or both of the Super Jump Mushrooms, run over to the stump teleporter by the lake in Greenwood, and teleport to Skyreach Summit. If you have one Super Jump, you can Climb up a bit to the left of the electric barrier and then Super Jump on top of the stone gate; or, if you have two Super Jumps, you can use them to get directly up onto it. Either way, finish by dropping down on the far side.

Breaking Out Achievements

These achievements are earned by making it to strange, “out of bounds” places where players really shouldn’t be! 🙂 Each gives you a behind-the-scenes look at what’s going on outside Kit’s Quest’s usual boundaries.

Breaking Out: Fennecton
Outsmart the developer and get “out of bounds” in Fennecton.

Hint 1: You’ll need to find a way over Fennecton’s outer walls (or on top of the nearby cliff).

Hint 2: Grab a Super Jump Mushroom from the foot of Skyreach Mountain, run back to Fennecton, and Super Jump out.

Breaking Out: Greenwood
Outsmart the developer and get “out of bounds” in Greenwood.

Hint 1: You’ll need to find a way on top of Greenwood’s surrounding cliffs. This is much easier in the area with the lake, but is also possible in the area with the huge trees.

Hint 2: For the area with the lake, grab a Super Jump Mushroom from the foot of Skyreach Mountain, run back to Greenwood, and Super Jump out.

Hint 3: For the area with the huge trees, get to the upper Super Jump Mushroom, drop down to the lower Super Jump Mushroom, and then Super Jump back up to the upper one. With both Super Jumps in hand, use one to get across to the tree with the climbable wall, climb up to the tree’s second-highest platform, and finally use the remaining Super Jump to get atop the cliff.

Breaking Out: Cascade Ravine
Outsmart the developer and get “out of bounds” in Cascade Ravine.

Hint 1: You’ll need to find a way on top of Cascade Ravine’s surrounding cliffs.

Hint 2: You’ll either need multiple ability mushrooms, or to have returned all of Queen Nelli’s Golden Mushrooms.

Hint 3: For one option, grab both of the Super Jump Mushrooms from the foot of Skyreach Mountain, run over to Cascade Ravine, and teleport to the Rocky Bridge. From the stump there, use both Super Jumps to get on top of the grassy area above, and then make your way left to get all the way on top of the cliffs.

Hint 4: For another option, if you’ve returned all of Queen Nelli’s Golden Mushrooms, instead make your way out the top exit of the Ancient Grotto and up towards the river’s source. Stop at the fourth narrow rocky bridge above the river (just past the first small waterfall). From there, face downstream, and perform a tight jump and pair of Royal Boosts forward to make it on top of the left-hand cliff.

Breaking Out: Flooded Ruins
Outsmart the developer and get “out of bounds” in Flooded Ruins.

Hint 1: You’ll need to have returned all of Queen Nelli’s Golden Mushrooms.

Hint 2: You’ll need to find a way on top of the cliffs surrounding Flooded Ruins.

Hint 3: Start by reaching the high-up green structure where the level’s Egg is hidden (look for the Secret Eggs guide for help with that). From there, jump and Royal Boost your way on top of the structure’s walls.

Breaking Out: Skyreach Summit
Outsmart the developer and get “out of bounds” in Skyreach Summit.

Hint 1: You’ll need to find a way on top of Skyreach Summit’s surrounding cliffs.

Hint 2: You’ll need to use multiple ability mushrooms.

Hint 3: Grab both of the Super Jump Mushrooms from the foot of Skyreach Mountain, run over to the stump teleporter by the lake in Greenwood, and teleport to Skyreach Summit. Climb up a bit to the left of the electric barrier, use one Super Jump to get on top of the stone gate, and finally use the remaining Super Jump to get on top of the cliffs.

Hint 4: Fun fact: This is very useful for speedrunners trying to beat the game quickly 🙂

Breaking Out: Dregnor’s Domain
Outsmart the developer and get “out of bounds” in Dregnor’s Domain.

Hint 1: You’ll need to have returned all of Queen Nelli’s Golden Mushrooms.

Hint 2: You’ll need to find a way on top of either the cliffs surrounding Dregnor’s Domain, or any of the walls of Dregnor’s castle.

Hint 3: For one option, grab both of the Super Jump Mushrooms from the foot of Skyreach Mountain, run over to the stump teleporter by the lake in Greenwood, and teleport to Dregnor’s Domain. Head left, and perform a jump and pair of Royal Boosts to get onto the metal platform being struck by a hammer. From there, use both Super Jumps to either make it across the lava to the top of the nearest cliff, or straight up to the very top of the castle wall.

Hint 4: For another option, instead navigate through Dregnor’s Domain from the start until reaching the section behind Dregnor’s main castle (the separate wall with drills and flamethrowers). Perform a jump and pair of Royal Boosts into a torch on the wall, getting hit by it. As soon as you recover from the hit, use another pair of Royal Boosts to end up on top of the wall.

Other Secret Achievements

These achievements are earned by finding secret little things to do throughout Kit’s Quest.

Nap Time
Lie down in Kit’s personal sleeping area.

Hint: In Kit’s Den, go to Kit’s personal sleeping area (the pile of straw surrounded by orange wood), and stop pressing any buttons/keys until Kit lies down.

Disturber of the Peace
Relentlessly knock on Fennecton’s gate.

Hint: Keep charging into Fennecton’s gate from the outside until Rusty’s had enough. You can only do this while Fennecton’s gate is still shut.

Flat Fox
Get flattened by the Freight Elevator.

Hint: In Enchanted Metalworks, start by riding the Freight Elevator all the way down and entering the Abandoned Mine. Re-enter the Freight Elevator from there and ride it back to the top. From there, one option is to Save & Quit and then Continue your file, causing you to re-enter the room while the elevator’s at the top. The other option is to exit Enchanted Metalworks, make your way over to Luminous Caverns, and re-enter the Freight Elevator’s room from the Abandoned Mine once again. Either way, finish by bringing the elevator down on top of Kit!

Retirement Fund
Find Dregnor’s treasure hoard.

Hint 1: The treasure hoard is behind a cracked wall in Vixie’s cage (in Dregnor’s Keep), accessible after Dregnor’s been defeated.

Hint 2: One option for getting into the cage involves an ability mushroom, while another option is straightforward after returning all of Queen Nelli’s Golden Mushrooms.

Hint 3: If you haven’t returned all of Queen Nelli’s Golden Mushrooms, grab the lower Super Jump Mushroom from the foot of Skyreach Mountain, run over to the stump teleporter by the lake in Greenwood, and teleport to Dregnor’s Domain. Finally, run over to Vixie’s cage and Super Jump up into it.
