Kyoshiro’s First Appearance
Kyoshiro, one of Orochi’s underling, makes his first appearance in Chapter 919 and Episode 909 of the anime series.
He is known as the leader of a Yakuza group in Wano Country. Kyoshiro is also the one who raised Komurusaki who became the Oiran in the country. His loyalty to the shogun is a little bit suspicious in the previous chapter. But that changed today as the latest One Piece chapter finally revealed his true identity.
Kyoshiro’s Real Identity
In One Piece Chapter 973, we got to see more details from the flashback story of Kozuki Oden and returning to the main timeline. Following Oden’s sacrifice, the Nine Red Scabbards escaped for their lives.
Orochi who ordered to kill the survivors is frustrated knowing that his men can’t show him their heads. Momonosuke and the others were sent to the future, while the others remain in the past. While most of the members of the Nine Red Scabbards and the Kozuki family are confirmed to be alive, one character is still missing and that’s Denjiro.
His status is still unknown, not until the release of Chapter 973 where Denjiro has been revealed to be Kyoshiro. According to the details, Denjiro decides to change his appearance, name, and work under Orochi.
As he starts working under the Shogun Orochi, he became the Witching Hour Boy who steals money from the rich and give it to the poor. His real identity is also known to Hiyori but he asked her to hide the truth to protect her. Denjiro also asked Hiyori to tell no soul about his identity until the very moment the battle starts against Orochi and Kaido.
