Pokemon GO Unova Regional Pokemon: How and Where to Catch Them?

Pokemon GO has officially added a new set of Pokemon from the Unova Region. As of writing, there are more than 30 new Generation 5 Pokemon that players can find in Pokemon GO.

To get the new Unova Pokemon, Pokemon GO trainers need to explore the wild and catch them, hatch from eggs, and visit some region just to get them. Speaking of the regions, Niantic also added the Regional Pokemon from Generation 5. Below is the guide where you can find and catch these new Region Exclusive Pokemon.

Generation 5 Regional Pokemon

Throh

Throh is a Fighting-type Pokemon that can be found in North America, South America, and Africa. Apart from finding it in the wild, you can also get Throh from a 10 km Egg.

Sawk

Sawk is the counterpart of Throh and also a Fighting-type Pokemon. This region exclusive Pokemon can be found in Europe, Asia, and Australia. Similar to Throh, Sawk can also be hatched from a 10 km Egg.

Basculin (Red and Blue Striped)

Basculin (Red Striped) is a Water-type Pokemon that can be found in the Eastern hemisphere while the Basculin (Blue Striped) can be encountered in the Western hemisphere.

Maractus

Maractus is a Grass-type Pokemon from the Unova region that can be found in the Southern United States, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America.

Sigilyph

Sigilyph is a Psychic- and Flying-type Pokemon introduced in Generation V. If you want to register Sigilyph, you need to be in Greece and Egypt.

These six new Regional Pokemon will be added to the current list of Region Exclusive Pokemon in Pokemon GO.
