Warner Bros. Confirms Back 4 Blood Open Beta

Back 4 Blood will have an open beta for those who pre-order the game, Warner confirmed at Summer Games Fest. That seemed to be the end of it, but the study confirmed today that there will be a second beta on all platforms for anyone who wants to try it. There will also be cross-platform play, allowing us to thoroughly test the title.

The pre-purchase benefit, on the other hand, gives you access to the beta one week before its release, as well as access to the open beta, which allows you to play Back 4 Blood for two weeks before its release. Furthermore, there is a chance (low, according to Warner) that by registering on the title website, you will gain access to the closed beta even if you have not pre-purchased the game.

Open Beta for All

Nothing else is required to access the beta. Subscriptions to PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold are not required, nor is a prior payment (except in Japan and Germany), so this August will serve as the first open test for this game, which aspires to be as successful as Left 4 Dead. Of course, even if it only achieves half of its longevity and success, it will be a huge victory for Turtle Rock.

It has also been confirmed that the game will be shown at E3 on June 13th and that there will be detailed PvP gameplay, as the game will not only have cooperative modes. These modes are available for testing during both betas. There will be five characters, their weapons, two cooperative maps, and two PvP maps in total.

Back 4 Blood is a first-person shooter in which you must kill zombies in a world that has been wiped out by a virus. Only this band of “zombie killers” known as the “exterminators” survive.

The game is the work of Warner and Turtle Rock Studios, a team of developers who worked on Valve’s exclusive title Left 4 Dead. Back 4 Blood’s closed beta will take place from August 5 to 9, while the open beta will take place from August 12 to 16. The game will be available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
