Jiraiya is one of the main people responsible for reaching Naruto. In the classic Naruto manga series, in addition to him having helped the boy and Jutsus, he also tried to teach Naruto to have control over the Kurama Chakra.
Eventually, in Naruto Shippuden, it is revealed that Jiraiya also trained other children: Nagato, Konan, and Yahiko as they were orphans due to the constant conflicts in that region. However, Jiraiya quickly left, leaving the children behind.
Why didn’t Jiraiya take in the children?
One of the few questions for Jiraiya’s action is why did he leave Nagato, Konan, and Yahiko behind? Why didn’t he take them to the Konoha village?
When we look closely at the reason for this, it is understandable that Jiraiya taught only basic techniques for Konan, Nagato and Yahiko to help them survive.
First, we must consider that such a journey would be long and the path would be fraught with danger. Thus, engaging in a fight could result in the death of some of them or even all of them.
Secondly, the ninja world, by nature, is exactly like that. Taking care of yourself is the best way to grow and evolve.
Finally, Jiraiya also imagined that Nagato would be the “Child of Prophecy” who would turn the ninja world into a better place. Therefore, he preferred not to interfere and let it happen naturally as it should be.
Unfortunately, the story was not as Jiraiya predicted. The same young man he saved was the one who also took his life.
