Terraria developer has just released another major update which brings a lot of new content, including the new achievements. There’s a total of 11 achievements that have been added in the update 1.4.4 Labor of Love patch. If you’re looking for the steps on how to get these new achievements, this page is just for you. An Eye For An Eye
Description: Defeat Deerclops, the chilly one-eyed monstrosity.
Deerclops was already in the game for a while now as it was released when the Don’t Starve crossover update was rolled out. During its release, there are no killing-related achievements related to Deerclops. But in the Labor of Love update, defeating Deerclops will give you the achievement called An Eye For An Eye.
Before you actually fight him, first you need to summon him using the Deer Thing item, which is crafted at the Crimson or Demon Altars. You also need x3 Flinx Fur, x5 Demonite Ore, and Lens to get Deer Thing. Once you have all the requirements, go to the Snow Biome and summon Deerclops. Fight and defeat Deerclops to get the achievement.
Torch God
Description: Invoke the wrath of the God of Torches, and survived long enough to earn its blessing.
For this achievement, you just need to survive the Torch God event. You can summon Torch God by putting a total of 100 torches under the ground and simply standing near them. Once you survive Torch God, you need to consume the Torch God’s Favor to unlock the achievement.
Feast of Midas
Description: Obtain Golden Delight, the highest quality meal made from the highest quality ingredients.
This achievement is pretty easy as it will be a reward for players who were able to craft the Golden Delight. To craft Golden Delight, you need to have the following ingredients:
- Gold Bird
- Bunny
- Butterfly
- Dragonfly
- Frog
- Goldfish
- Grasshopper
- Ladybug
- Mouse
- Seahorse
- Squirrel
- Water Strider
- Worm
After you gather the ingredients, go to your Cooking Pot and craft Golden Delight.
Ankhumulation Complete
Description: Obtain the Ankh Shield, the finest protection from unpleasant maladies and ailments.
This is another crafting-related achievement in the Terraria Labor of Love update. To get the achievement, you need to craft the Ankh Shield using Obsidian Shield and Ankh Charm. Once you have these two ingredients, go to the Tinkerer’s Workshop and craft the item. The achievement should appear once you obtain the Ankh Shield.
Unusual Survival Strategies
Description: Delay death from drowning by drinking water. It doesn’t make much sense, but you did what you had to do.
To get this achievement, you simply need to drink a water bottle while drowning. Pretty easy, right?
Black Mirror
Description: Obtain the Cell Phone. You’ll never leave home without it again.
As the description says, you only need to craft a cell phone to unlock this achievement. We recommend checking this guide if you’re having some issues with cell phone crafting.
A Rare Realm
Description: Some very special seeds can lead to unique and rewarding experiences. Can you find one?
This achievement can be easily obtained by entering a secret seed world. This new update adds several secret seed spots. You only need to enter any of them to get the achievement.
The Great Slime Mitosis
Description: Find all of the Slime Pets and have them move in!
This achievement can be unlocked by finding all the newly added Town Slimes. There’s a total of 8 new Town Slimes in this update and here’s where you find them:
- Cool Slime – Appears when there’s an active party around.
- Clumsy Slime – Appears near the floating island in the Space Layer with a balloon.
- Nerdy Slime – Appears after defeating King Slime.
- Elder Slime – Appears after opening an Old Shaking Chest in Cavern Layer.
- Diva Slime – Appears after throwing a Sparkle Slime Balloon into Shimmer.
- Mystic Slime – Appears after using Purification Powder on a Mystic Frog in the Jungle.
- Squire Slime – Appears after dropping a Shortsword or Copper Helmet on a Slime.
A Shimmer In The Dark
Description: Shimmer an item into another item. What other transmutations can you find?
You can obtain this achievement after you successfully transmutating any item using the Shimmer Liquid.
And Good Riddance!
Description: Purify all Corruption, Crimson, and Hallow from your world, until the Dryad is satisfied.
This achievement is considered one of the most difficult to obtain achievement from this patch. You can unlock this achievement after you purify the entire world of Crimson, Hallow, and Corruption. After the purification, find and speak with Dryad about your world.
To Infinity and Beyond!
Description: Fly a Kwad Racer into outer space.
Find the Cyborg and buy the Kwad Racer. After obtaining the Kwad Racer, just fly into space to unlock the achievement.
